STILL LIFES 8 is a group exhibition with six photographers.
The absence of an obvious subject acts as the common denominator for the exhibition and has also been the starting point in the selection of photographs. The title STILL LIFES recalls the old tradition of still lofe, which is often used as a mean to remind the viewer of a higher power and the transience of life. Before the 18th century the still life was only a religious and allegoric symbol, but has since often included everyday objects and landscapes in an artificial environment.
