Galleri Box proudly presents Andreas R Anderssons exhibition; The Thousand Yard Stare.
Andersson exhibits a brand new time based installation of a weapon storage room. The work focus on the weapon industry and its manufacturing process. During the exhibition, the installation will slowly melt, transform and fall apart.
In his earlier work, Andersson conveys how life extends beyond its own subjective limits and it often tells a story about the effects of global cultural and political problems over the 21st century. He has for example built a communication tower that plays all European national anthems simultaneously, trapped people in containers, created riots alone and worked with refugee boats.
Andersson b.1982 in Västerås, Barkarö, educated at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design 2006-2009 and Valand Academy, 2010-2012. Since graduating, he has had solo exhibitions and participated in group shows around the world such as: Kunming China, Alaska USA, Amsterdam Netherlands, Oslo Norway, Stockholm Sweden, Vienna and Salzburg Austria.
